Thousands of Essex postal votes delayed
Uttlesford District Council has apologised for the delay in sending more than 2,000 postal votes to residents in north west Essex. It is thought Chelmsford wards of the constituency, previously known as Saffron Walden, are the most effected.
Peter Holt is the Chief Executive of Uttlesford District Council, and said the council was trying to resolve the matter by hand delivering ballots, but warned a close result on election night could be challenged if a large proportion were not returned.
