Love's Labyrinth - The Gonzaga Band in Birmingham

The Gonzaga Band presents a selection of songs & duets from the age of Monteverdi, together with the three winning compositions from the 2026 National Centre for Early Music Young Composers Award, held in partnership with BBC Radio 3.

This year's brief was to compose a new piece for The Gonzaga Band, an ensemble specialising in music of the late Renaissance and early Baroque, written for soprano, treble or mute cornetto and harpsichord or organ. This year's winners were Laura Kesiak, Edward Tait and Kat Farn.

Recorded at the Bradshaw Hall, Royal Birmingham Conservatoire on 27th October.

Presented by Hannah French.
