Haydn and Mozart
The celebrated Candian pianist Angela Hewitt plays fortepiano with the Dunedin Consort in two contrasting concertos by CPE Bach and Mozart, plus Haydn's 6th Symphony, 'Le matin'.
The celebrated Canadian pianist Angela Hewitt gave her first performance on fortepiano at Wigmore Hall in 2024. She returns to the instrument with the Dunedin Consort in two contrasting concertos by CPE Bach and Mozart, the first of which is emotionally stormy and the second being one of Mozart's most intimate compositions. The Dunedin Consort also perform Haydn's radiant 6th Symphony, 'Le matin', and Marianne Martinez's Sinfonie in C major.
Recorded earlier this month at Wigmore Hall in London, and presented by Ian Skelly.
