The Bayeux Tapestry by Morna Stuart

A dramatic chronicle telling of the invasion of England by the Norman Duke William, and of the tragic end of Harold, last of the Saxon Kings, as recorded in the famous tapestry.

The story is told scene-by-scene as embroidered in nine linen panels sewn together making up the tapestry. It’s believed to have been created here nearly 1,000 years ago.

First broadcast by the BBC during the Second World War.
