Episode 3

Jools welcomes vocal powerhouse Jessie Ware, pop star Holly Humberstone, prolific producer Jack Antonoff, soul singer Samm Henshaw, electro duo Fcukers and director Tim Pope.

Jools welcomes back to the show vocal powerhouse Jessie Ware, who performs a couple of songs, including the title track from her sixth album Superbloom, described as a 'glittering rush of Studio 54-inflected groove-pop'. Jessie also catches up with Jools at the piano to discuss the record.

From Grantham, Jools welcomes previous Brits Rising Star winner Holly Humberstone, who performs two songs from her top four album Cruel World. Now a defining voice of her generation, this album sees her 'escape into a dark fairytale of her own making, where childhood relics, monsters and memory collide'.

From New Jersey, making his debut on the show is the prolific and multi-Grammy-winning producer, songwriter and musician Jack Antonoff, best known for his work with the likes of Lorde, Lana Del Rey and Taylor Swift as well as his work with his band Bleachers. He chats to Jools at the piano and performs solo the Bleachers track i can't believe you’re gone, which is taken from their album everyone for ten minutes.

Returning to the show following a huge world tour across the US, Asia and Europe is south London soul singer Samm Henshaw who performs a couple of songs from his second album It Could Be Worse.

From New York, and completing the musical line-up, are electronic band Fcukers, who perform their track L.U.C.K.Y taken from their debut album Ö, which presents their signature sound and vision 'built around 90s/00s house music, tasteful trip hop, big beat, indie rock and everything in between'.

Also joining Jools to chat at the piano is music video director Tim Pope to discuss his forthcoming book I Shoot Rock Stars, which documents the wild adventures of a music video director and delves into his catalogue of rock ‘n’ roll stories with The Cure, David Bowie, Iggy Pop, Freddie Mercury and many more.
