Episode 2

Episode 2 of 15

The drugs unit arrest a man on cruise ship in a major bust, there's a mystery, missing phone at the golf course, and the police are on hand to assist at a tourist bike crash.

In this episode, the stakes are high as the drug unit launches a major operation targeting a suspected trafficker linked to an earlier seizure of the deadly drug carfentanyl. Detectives Damon Hollis and Zoenique Williams receive urgent intelligence from US authorities: a man believed to be connected to the case is on a cruise ship heading straight for Bermuda. Carfentanyl is an ultra-potent opioid linked to fatal overdoses worldwide, and there’s real concern about what could be making its way into the island’s drug market. Can the detectives act fast enough to intercept the suspect before it’s too late?

As soon as the ship docks, officers detain the American passenger for questioning. No drugs turn up, but a stash of high-value watches and jewellery is seized, the kind of items traffickers often use to move money across borders without carrying cash.

With just a 48-hour legal countdown to decide whether charges can be brought, the team heads on board to search the suspect’s cabin. Every piece of evidence is logged, tested and scrutinised.

Across the island, PC Jen Suter and PC Rachel Benedict are called to a luxury golf resort after a woman reports her phone has been stolen by her estranged boyfriend. After a few dead-end searches and speaking to staff, the officers begin piecing together the trail. Can they locate the missing phone and return it to its rightful owner?

Meanwhile, PC Jonathan Wood and PC Shane Granville respond to a minor collision involving an American tourist on a rental bike – a recurring issue during the busy holiday season. With no injuries, the officers step in to manage the scene, explain local riding rules and help them get safely back on the road.

Back at headquarters, Damon and Zoenique review every item and detail from the cruise ship operation as the 48-hour deadline looms. Can the detectives build a case in time, or will the suspect walk free?
