Episode 2
Returning to Nepal, the film crew use thermal cameras and drones to follow tigers after dark, revealing a hidden world of previously unseen behaviour and surprise encounters.
In western Nepal, the team are continuing their tiger expedition. As monsoon storms loom and temperatures soar, the big cats are becoming more active at night. Tiger mother Goma is teaching her cubs to become independent, while Mala is struggling to keep her lone surviving cub out of trouble.
The crew must adapt to the challenging conditions, deploying military-grade thermal cameras and drones to film the tigers after sunset. Under cover of darkness, the arrival of a huge dominant male presents a rare opportunity to study tiger family dynamics – but how will the male respond when he comes face to face with the cubs?
