Episode 1

Anna and Perri race to a violent offender. Tom consoles a woman whose loved one has been hit by a taxi. The Peelers control an angry crowd outside a sex offender’s home.

Stephen joins response officers Anna and Perri as they attend a 999 call made from a property in Belfast. A man has had bleach squirted directly on his face and into his eyes during a domestic dispute. At risk to their own safety, the officers enter the property to find the suspect upstairs, reportedly self-harming. There are reports he has strangled a dog.

Across town, Tom and Nigel race to the scene of a serious crash that has left a pedestrian badly injured. As soon as they arrive, a scared and tearful woman approaches. She thinks the man lying in the middle of the road, being worked on by paramedics, is her partner. It’s down to Tom to deliver a message the woman will never forget.

Later, adrenaline levels spike as Stephen and the team race to reports of an angry crowd surrounding the home of a convicted sex offender. As the tension rises, Stephen engages with the increasingly irate crowd, while Nigel formulates a plan to get the sex offender out of his house to safety.
