On May 22nd, 2017, Salman Abedi detonated a rucksack bomb in the Manchester Arena while people were leaving an Ariana Grande concert. Twenty-two people were killed and hundreds injured. It is the most devastating terrorist attack in the UK soil since the London bombings in 2005. How was a young man from Manchester radicalised to the point where he could kill and maim children in the heart of the city he was born and raised in, and could the Manchester Arena bombing have been stopped?
