The doctors and nurses at Lodi hospital in Lombardy were on the frontline of the Coronavirus outbreak in Italy. After discovering the first confirmed Covid-19 patient in Europe, they became the continent's first line of defence against the virus. Filmmakers Alberto Gottardo and Francesca Sironi worked with the BBC's Gabriel Gatehouse to make this exclusive film from inside the hospital at the heart of Italy's pandemic.
