Sport Relief 2026
Jill Scott’s Coming Home Challenge Attempt for Sport Relief

The Final Push
After 4 relentless days, 359 miles, over 20 hours in the saddle, and two utterly exhausted legs, Jill has reached the FINAL STRETCH of her challenge.
Today, she faces one last test: a 28.5-mile run from Bishop Auckland Football Club to the Stadium of Light in Sunderland - her home crowd, her finish line.
It’s already been a staggering effort. Jill has battled through punishing conditions - heavy rain, 5am starts, over 5,000 metres of elevation, and long days finishing in darkness. Even for someone who’s played on the biggest stages in football, this has been one of her toughest challenges yet. But the hardest miles are still ahead.
Help Bring Jill Home
On Day 5, Jill needs all of us behind her. The support so far has been phenomenal, but now it’s time to dig deep for one final push. Let’s bring her home. Please donate here.
Supporters can watch the final stages of Jill’s homecoming live on the BBC News website and BBC iPlayer from around 5.00pm today.

The Story So Far

Football icon Jill Scott MBE is making her way home. Not just to a place, but to the people and communities that shaped her.
Tackling an extraordinary five day, 388-mile journey across England, Jill will run and cycle from London’s Wembley Stadium to The Stadium of Light in Sunderland, via stand-out stadiums of her professional career and the grassroots club where it all began.
Jill will travel through Birmingham, Liverpool and Manchester before finishing in the North East, a place she calls home.
Jill Scott's Coming Home Challenge for Sport Relief is about helping more people find a place they can call home, and giving back to the communities that offer a sense of belonging, confidence and support when people need it most.
At least half of the funds raised through Jill’s Sport Relief challenge will directly fund Sport for Change projects in local communities – including initiatives that use football, running, cycling and boxing to create safe spaces for people young and old, bringing them together and providing safety and security when it’s needed most – with remaining funds invested in Comic Relief's wider work.
Donate online to support Jill’s efforts and help make every mile matter.

Why your support matters

Jill Scott’s Homecoming Challenge for Sport Relief is a five-day endurance event that highlights the power individuals have to create change in their communities.
At least half of the funds raised will support grassroots Sport for Change projects, helping people access inclusive spaces, build confidence and skills, and connect with others.
By placing Sport for Change at the heart of Sport Relief 2026, the challenge showcases the programme’s impact in breaking down barriers and bringing people together.
