Section 28: What was it, and how has life changed for gay people in the UK?

BBC presenter Owain Wyn Evans grew up under a law called Section 28.

It prevented councils and schools from "promoting homosexuality" between 1988 and 2003.

Owain told Newsround about how Section 28 had a huge impact on his life.

He went back to his old school to see how things have changed for young, gay pupils there now, 20 years since it was scrapped.
