More than a million people have been evacuated from their homes in Eastern China.

It's after Typhoon Dolphin brought heavy rain and strong winds of 94mph when it first hit the Zhejiang province on Sunday.

Nearly 1,000 flights were cancelled in Shanghai while parts of some tourist attractions like Disneyland and Legoland have had to close.

While authorities have downgraded Dolphin to a tropical storm they are warning that there's still a risk of torrential rain, severe flooding and possible landslides.

Typhoon Dolphin brought torrential rain to the Philippines, parts of northern Taiwan and Japan's Okinawa island before reaching China.

More than 7,000 people are still sheltering at evacuation centres across the Philippines.

Forecasters say parts of Zhejiang in China could get between 250mm and 500mm of rain over the next few days as the storm moves across the country.

Emergency shelters have been set up there too for those who have had to leave their homes.
