And so the After Party is about to begin.

It's also probably a good time for us to blow the whistle on our live coverage of the packed parade through the streets of Manchester.

My colleague Lynette Horsborough's news story will be published shortly on the Manchester page of the BBC News website.

Thank you for your company during the last five hours - all of us here at BBC North West really appreciate it on this sweltering Bank Holiday Monday.

It has been a memorable day for the blue half of Manchester.

It's also been an emotional day... truly the end of an era.

    The Pep Guardiola era.

    Goodnight!

Pep Guardiola is one of the few people on the buses with a beer in hand.

After 10 years' hard graft, he's probably earned it...

Most of the players are sipping water, however.

Conscious of the World Cup, perhaps?

  7. 'Everything set up for success'published at 18:04 BST 25 May

Paul Dickov, illuminated in blue, interviewed by the BBC at Co-Op Live

Former Manchester City striker Paul Dickov has been talking about the likely impact of manager Pep Guardiola leaving the club after 10 hugely successful years.

“When we lost Vincent Kompany, and then we lost Fernandinho, Sergio Aguero, David Silva - it was the end of the world, and somehow we replaced them and got better, and still won more trophies," he said.

"The club is so well run from top to bottom, there’s plans in place to replace whoever is leaving.

"People are already making comparisons to when Sir Alex Ferguson left Manchester United, or when Arsene Wenger left Arsenal, and they did struggle.

"The one thing I will say, the structure of this football club is the best, and it’s completely different from anywhere else, top to bottom.

"From the chairman to the head of recruitment, this place is set up for success.

"It’s big shoes to fill, but it should be easier than Sir Alex because everything here is set up for success.”

Captain Bernardo Silva, who joined City from Monaco in 2017, went on to win 16 major honours at Etihad Stadium including six Premier League titles in his first eight seasons and the Treble in 2022-23.

He also helped the Blues win the Premier League title with 100 points in 2017-18, all four domestic trophies in 2018-19 and four consecutive league titles between 2021 and 2024.

The Portuguese workhorse's illustrious time at the club on Sunday ended with a 460th appearance.

The City Parade has now set off and is heading off to Ancoats.

It will approach the Etihad Stadium along Ashton New Road.

The procession will end at The Colin Bell Stand reception with a final celebration moment before the players depart for the nearby Co-op Live and the official After Party.

It had been due to get to the Etihad at about 18:30BST.

Everything seems to be running nearly half an hour late ... not that anybody in the crowd seems to mind too much!

  15. 'For all his trophies - Pep's class was how he treated David Silva'published at 17:15 BST 25 May

We've been asking you for your memories of Pep Guardiola as his reign at the club draws to a close.

Will Linsdell has emailed in to tell us that "for all Pep’s success, for me his class is epitomised by how he treated legendary attacker David Silva when his son was born prematurely in December 2017". Baby Mateo was in hospital for five months and Will, a City fan of 55 years, said "Pep sanctioned El Mago to have as much time off as he needed to be with his family.

"Silva was without doubt one of City’s best players at that time, yet Pep instantly declared 'Family comes first'."Pep was genuinely emotional about the whole situation. Despite David’s long absence from the team City secured the title with 100 points."
