- Water cannon has been deployed on a large crowd of people, at one stage about 200 strong, at Sandyknowes roundabout outside Belfast
- People threw objects and bricks at police, vandalised houses and set a derelict property on fire
- The disorder was more minor compared to the violence seen on the streets of many areas on Tuesday night
- Peaceful protests took place in other areas of Northern Ireland including Coleraine and at Stormont
- The protests and violence were sparked after a man was left with serious injuries, including losing an eye, after being attacked in north Belfast on Monday night
- A 30-year-old Sudanese man appeared in Belfast Magistrates' Court earlier charged with attempted murder
- Clean up took place after the violent incidents of Tuesday night
- Politicians condemned the events including Michelle O'Neill who said attacks on homes was "nothing less than disgusting cowardice" and Deputy First Minister Emma Little-Pengelly said violence was absolutely unacceptable
- Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer said those behind the violence "will feel the full force of the law"
- People affected by the violence, including a man whose home of 13 years was destroyed by fire, spoke about the aftermath
- The family of the victim, Stephen Ogilvie, said they did not want this "terrible tragedy to be used to divide people or fuel hostility"
