Iran's foreign ministry said strikes which resulted in four deaths, including two children, at a wedding ceremony in Sirik county were a "war crime".
A further 67 people were injured, according to the Iranian Red Crescent Society, after shrapnel from a US missile hit a house in southern Iran.
US Central Command told the BBC it's "looking into" Iranian media reports about the strikes, but added "the US military never targets civilians, unlike the IRGC".
A weapons expert consulted by BBC Verify said images shared online following the attack show fragments of a cruise missile used by US forces.

In response to the US strikes, Tehran launched missile and drone attacks at American targets across the Middle East - including in Kuwait, Jordan, Iraq and Bahrain.
Unlike earlier strikes over the weekend, this latest confrontation between the US and Iran marks a serious military escalation, the BBC's Middle East correspondent writes.
In an interview with Fox News about the state of the war, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent urged "everyone" to stop trading with Iran, adding that sanctions will "asphyxiate the regime".
Iranian economists have warned of the possibility of hyperinflation in the coming months, but Central Bank governor Abdolnaser Hemmati played down the likelihood of that - though he did acknowledge worsening economic hardship, the BBC's Jiyar Gol explains.
