It's 12 miles long, so it may come as no surprise to hear that a new album called '12 Mile Island' is about Walney. It's been produced by a folk group by the name of Shebeen - all residents of the Island. Their album will be officially launched at the Biggar Village Folk Festival which is coming up on May the 26th. | Members of Shebeen pose at sunset. |
Robbie Byrne, Graham Parker and Jonathan Byrne are all members of Shebeen, and Paul O'Neill joined them as they were setting up for a performance to hear their music and find out more about the group. Graham Parker begins our look at Shebeen: Listen now online
