Carve the perfect pumpkin 🎃

Carving pumpkins is one of the messiest and most fun things to do leading up to Halloween, but it's definitely one of the hardest too. People on the telly make it look super easy, but most of us end up with a pumpkin with hardly any actual facial features. Luckily, we've got some pumpkin templates from your favourite CBBC shows.

Make your creepy costume

Costumes vary depending on how much time you have and how much effort you want to put in. Of course, you could always go for the old favourite: asking your grown up for an old sheet you can have, cutting eye holes in it and going as a ghost (only works if you make the ghost noises, yeah?).

Or you can go all out with a full Wolfblood costume. Try out the tutorial below (and give yourself enough time to practise!)

Vamp up your drinks

To make your party drinks look as gruesome as possible, fill up everyone's glasses with a devilish dose of cranberry juice, and maybe throw in a hearty cackle as you drink it.

Perfect your scare

Okay, so everything else for your party is sorted, but you need to work on the most important bit: being scary! There are tonnes of ways to do this, but one of the absolute Halloween classics is the hide-behind-a-door-and-jump-out (you can probably guess how to do this). This technique is all about timing, so when you're waiting behind a door or around a corner, make sure to listen very carefully to the footsteps to time it just right.

Although this can be a lot of fun, make sure to only do it when your friends/family aren't carrying anything.
