Teddy Boy subculture was heavily influenced by the styles of the Edwardian period, which the tailors of Savile Row had tried to re-introduce after World War II. Of course, in partnership with the look went the music. The American influence on the Teddy Boy scene was huge; the rock ‘n’ roll revolution was happening across the airwaves at the time. The big performers of the day such as Fats Domino, Pat Boone, Little Richard & Jerry Lee Lewis, and later Gene Vincent and Elvis Presley dominated Teddy Boy dance-floors across Britain.
