How the first collaboration came about and became a runaway success
Kate Moss’ modeling career started at the age of 14 when she was discovered by Sarah Doukas (the founder of Storm Model Management) in 1988 at JFK Airport in New York. Kate was quickly catapulted to fame as the industry dispensed with curvaceous 90s models, such as Claudia Schiffer and Cindy Crawford, in favour of the waif look.
An international fashion icon, Kate’s image is scrutinised across the country and her wardrobe has formed the basis for an incredibly successful collaboration with Topshop.
The edgy, provocative party-going cover girl of the noughties, Kate invokes the new spirit of democratic fashion: if you don’t look like a supermodel, at least you can dress like one.
