BBC School Report 2009 based itself on Teesside, at Middlesbrough's MacMillan Academy, where students had been preparing a series of news items for broadcast.  Read the report prepared by the students.  "It was actually quite hard. We had to plan out and structure all the questions."  "My favourite thing is doing the research for the sports." "We've learned that you don't have time to plan stuff. It all just comes to you."  "I was interviewer and, in that, I had to interview people who knew about the recession."  "That involved going out to interview people like Steve Cram and Alison Curbishley."  "If you just ask them anything, they don't know what you're going on about."
