Hoodies were essential wear.
Some thoroughly bad boys were urinating in plastic cups and hurling their waste product all over the crowds. Nasty. I kept my hat on all weekend!
The rule was… if it came over all cold onto you, it was beer. If it felt warm… urggh.

Got lost. Aaaaaaargh. 
Ninety thousand people, and couldn’t find my mates.
The Welfare Centre was brilliant (even after I burst into tears…!). They used their landline to phone my friends, but it took FIVE times of trying. All the lines were clogged up; friends told me later that some of my texts didn’t arrive until after 10pm!

But I felt safe. That was the best thing

Top Act of the weekend: The Enemy. No doubt in my mind at all.
They pumped up the crowd, interacted brilliantly. What an experience

Next best: Fatboy Slim, Toddla-T, Jaguar Skills, Mr Hudson... and 'special' shout out to The Specials.
Oasis were POOR. Sound was really bad, and they looked like they just did not want to be there.

Did anyone else find the Secret Garden? 
Saw this security bloke, and asked “…what is it you're guarding?” and he said: go have a look!
There was this free massage place, a bar with no queue (yee-ha), and just a few people drinking Strongbow.
Still haven’t figured it out though.

Is V always about fancy dress? 
There were men in lycra, a couple of Borats in green thong things, and blue morph suits all over the place.

Most popular band: The Killers. Sooooo many people wearing ‘Victims’ t-shirts, it was like a Killers convention!

I really really liked the idea of showing people’s texts on the big screen. Nice one V
