SUBculture burst from beyond the four walls of its studio to take over the BBC Radio Stoke Open Centre for a special Christmas party.

Four bands all played live in front of invited studio audience as the mince pies and festive spirits flowed!

Herzoga live

Wrong-poppers Herzoga kicked off proceedings - their set included storming versions of "Nice Car" and "Blood School" (amongst others).

In between tracks, the lads chatted to Matt and Dave about a forthcoming single release, and the alter ego that is ‘Pippa’.

The People Involved live

First it was two-fifths and then two-fifths became three-fifths as the People Involved were next up.

They played an exclusive acoustic set including show fave tracks "Stuck" and "Times Disease", and also talked about doing some new recordings and playing in France.

MS Thomason live

MS Thomason wowed the crowd with tracks from his ‘Under the Birch Tree’ album including his classic murder ballad "The Ballad of Narissa Gray" and "Perfect Little Soul".

He also told Dave how mellow was just as good as mosh-pits, and how getting a piano on the bus has proved pretty tricky!

Mauskramp live

The mighty Mauskramp from Stafford left everyone spellbound with a set including "Vitamin Deficiency" which got the crowd moving, and newbie "Ball of Fish".

They chatted to Matt and Dave about playing in foyers (!) and how 2008 will hopefully be the year of the ‘Kramp. If there's any justice in the world.

Plus we had Best of the Session tracks from Parradox and Trial of Origin...
