Keith Haslam has resigned as Mansfield chief executive after protests by fans unhappy with his running of the club. He will be replaced by chartered accountant Stephen Booth.
Haslam told the League Two club's website: "I am stepping down and will no longer have any day-to-day involvement at Field Mill.
"I don't believe it is a tenable position for me to carry on. I have spoken to (non-executive chairman) James Derry about this matter."
