Aryna Sabalenka will play Elena Rybakina in Saturday's women's final after coming through their semi-finals in Thursday's night session.
The "three-peat" is still on for top seed Sabalenka, who was a straight-set winner against Jessica Pegula, while Rybakina recovered from losing the first set to beat Coco Gauff.
Elsewhere, Great Britain's Neal Skupski and American partner Christian Harrison are into the men's doubles final, while Alfie Hewett and Gordon Reid booked their places in the men's wheelchair doubles final.

Elena Rybakina, speaking after beating Coco Gauff to reach the US Open final: "I feel like the first set was still a good start, it was just one break and, of course, there are nerves.
"Coco is a great player, it's always tough to play against her. Even if sometimes her first serve doesn't go, her second one is so heavy that it's difficult to dictate the rallies.
"I took a deep breath and just told myself I needed to fight and show good tennis."
On being broken when serving for the match: "It was just a cool third set, I feel like I got a little bit lucky on her serve. A couple of deep returns, one mistake from her and it went quickly my way.
"I know you guys wanted Coco to win, it was a really good battle. I just tried to stay aggressive and somehow won the match."
On Saturday's final against Aryna Sabalenka: "She's an unbelievable player and she was playing really well today.
"I definitely need to step my game up, serve better than today, stay aggressive and really go for my shots.
"I'll just try to enjoy it, I did a lot in the tournament already, especially doubting if I was going to be ready to play so I'll just try to enjoy this incredible atmosphere."
Elena Rybakina had never got past the fourth round at Flushing Meadows until this year.
Now she has a chance to add the US Open title to the Australian Open crown she won in January.
Victory would give her a third Grand Slam title in all, with her first coming at Wimbledon in 2022.
