Wales' Martin joins French tier-two side Beziers

Mackenzie Martin starred for Wales Under-20s before moving into senior rugby

Wales back-row forward Mackenzie Martin has joined French second-tier side Beziers until the end of the 2028-29 season.
The 22-year-old was a free agent when his season-long loan at Dragons from Cardiff expired.
Martin made five Wales appearances in 2024, but fell out of favour at Cardiff and endured an injury-plagued 2025-26 campaign at Dragons.
The move to France could potentially render Martin ineligible for Wales as he has won fewer than 25 caps. However, if he did not receive a contract offer from a Welsh team then he remains available for Test duty if selected, despite playing his domestic rugby outside Wales.
Beziers chairman Bobby Skinstad, the former South Africa star, said: "I am delighted to welcome Mackenzie to the club. Young, powerful and determined, he will immediately find his place in the Red and Blue family."
Beziers finished 12th of 16 teams in French ProD2 with 12 wins and 18 defeats.
