Hull KR full-back Arthur Mourgue has been ruled out for up to 12 weeks with a pectoral injury.

The 27-year-old Frenchman was making his comeback from three months out with a similar injury when he suffered the recurrence in Saturday's win at Leigh.

Head coach Willie Peters said they would know more about the timescale next week.

"There's a partial tendon tear there but it's not full, which is positive," he told BBC Radio Humberside.

"At this stage he doesn't need surgery but that's what the next week is about, going to a specialist to see the extent.

"I'm gutted whenever a player goes down but when a player goes down with the same injury it's heartbreaking. I know he's a resilient guy and we're just hoping it's the bottom end of what I mentioned before."
