Cardiff Devils have signed the son of club legend Vezio Sacratini for the 2026-27 campaign.
Jake Sacratini, 24, was born in the Welsh capital while his father was playing for Devils during eight seasons between 1996 and 2004.
The right winger will wear now the jersey 28, the same number his father donned during his time with the club.
He has starred for SUNY-Plattsburgh in the United States' amateur National Collegiate Athletic Association third tier but is classified as a British player by governing body Ice Hockey UK.
Devils boss Paul Thompson said: "Jake comes off two good offensive years in college, leading his team in goals and points last season.
"We have been actively looking to enhance our already talented British player pool and we are delighted to have secured Jake's services.
"Being a Cardiff boy, born right here in Wales, we look forward to Jake putting on that jersey that his father, Vezio, starred in and wore many times for the Devils."
