Torquay United have agreed a new deal with striker Cody Cooke.

The 33-year-old former St Mirren, Bath City and Truro City forward moved to Plainmoor in the summer of 2024.

He was Torquay's top scorer in his first season with 19 goals in 40 games and went on to score five more times in an injury-hit National League South campaign this season.

A pelvic problem in October meant he missed almost three months before a dislocated shoulder at the end of February ended his season.

"I think Cody has a huge part to play," Torquay manager Jimmy Ball told the club website.

"He's still got to get over that shoulder injury which we have been working hard on. He's got the knowhow and we need to get him back in the goals."

Torquay have not disclosed the length of Cooke's new deal.
