Southampton striker Cyle Larin has withdrawn from international duty with Canada after experiencing back irritation.
The Canadian national side released a statement, external saying the forward was struggling with an issue before their friendly against Peru over the weekend and he has now returned to Saints for further evaluation.
Larin - the top scorer in the Championship with seven goals in eight matches - was an unused substitute on Saturday as Jesse Marsch's side beat Peru 2-0 in Montreal.
His club team-mate Daniel Peretz withdrew from international duty with Israel on Friday after picking up a minor injury of his own.
Southampton will hope both can be fit for Sunday's south coast derby when Portsmouth visit St Mary's.
