Young Blades defender Tahir heads to Oldham on loan
Oldham are preparing for a second season in League Two since promotion in June 2025

Oldham Athletic have signed teenage defender Zain Tahir on loan from Sheffield United for the 2026-27 season.
Tahir will enjoy his first experience of the English Football League, having played four games on loan in the National League with Scunthorpe United last season.
The 19-year-old has been part of the Blades' Professional Development League squad for the past couple of years.
"For a young player, it's about finding the right environment to take that next step and we're able to provide that place for him to continue his development," Latics manager Micky Mellon told Oldham's website., external
