Gillingham sign ex-Southampton defender Tabares

Gillingham have signed former Southampton defender Samuel Tabares.
The 19-year-old arrives at the League Two outfit having left Saints earlier in the summer following a two-year stay at St Mary's.
Tabares trialled with Gareth Ainsworth's Gills for a short period earlier in the summer and has now agreed terms.
The club have not disclosed the length of the contract.
Tabares is yet to play a senior professional game although he did appear for Fulham Under-21s against Shrewsbury Town in the EFL Trophy in August 2024.
