Sutton defender Kirk extends deal despite injury

Sutton United defender Alex Kirk has signed a one-year extension to his contract, with the option for a further year.
The 23-year-old came through the ranks at Arsenal and had loan spells at Ayr United and Bromley before joining Sutton in July 2024.
He made 21 appearances last season but a back injury sustained in February 2025 has seen him miss the entire 2025-26 campaign despite a brief return during pre-season.
Kirk, whose current deal was due to expire this summer, is aiming to return in time for the new season.
