Penybont to ban any fans guilty of discrimination

Penybont has threatened to remove and ban any supporters using discriminatory language following a fine by the Football Association of Wales (FAW).
The club was fined £450 after fans were found guilty of causing offence through contemptuous, discriminatory or denigratory words during a European play-off final against Cymru Premier rivals Haverfordwest County on 2 May.
Bridgend-based Penybont has condemned the language used and was disappointed the club had been let down by a minority of supporters.
"The club's cooperation and positive engagement with the FAW on this matter was received positively by the governing body," a club statement read.
"We have worked extremely hard to ensure that the club is family friendly and a place that everyone feels welcome and accepted.
"We are therefore extremely disappointed that the club and the overwhelming majority of our fans have been let down in this way.
"A meeting has been arranged with the [supporters' group] Bont Bank to discuss the importance of upholding positive support and the measures that the club will be taking, via a code of conduct, to ensure that future offenders are removed from the ground and banned from attending future matches."
The FAW has also ordered a Penybont official must complete an FAW course in challenging discrimination in football.
