Taylor 'excited' after Exeter's positive performances

Exeter City manager Matt Taylor says his side's 0-0 draw with Walsall has given him confidence in his side.
Having had a difficult start to the season, Exeter have taken five points from their last three games.
The draw with fifth-placed Walsall came after a 1-1 draw at home to high-flying Barnet on Tuesday night.
"We feel that was a winning performance," Taylor told BBC Radio Devon.
"If we play like that week in, week out and put in that performance on the pitch, we'll pick up a lot of points this season.
"I can't be too hard on the group; they gave everything and a little bit more, but that's the best we've been with the ball. Hence the chances we created. Let's be honest, against a very good Walsall team, they've got some really good players.
"I'd love to be sat here with the goals and the three points, and that's what we should be talking about, but it's another point and a moment going in the right direction."
Exeter have seen many of their experienced players leave after relegation from League One last season and financial constraints caused by an overspend in the 2024-25 campaign.
But Taylor says his new-look side are starting to gel as they aim to stabilise in League Two.
"I can forgive mistakes and moments in the game which don't quite go in our favour," he added.
"But we've seen a team the last couple of games that are a connected team and a team giving absolutely everything and a team that's only going to get better.
"You saw that from the bench, and there are players to come back, so all of a sudden we've got options and a drive from within that excites me.
"It's the first time I've been able to honestly say that this season because of all the mess and chaos which is going on behind the scenes.
"Now this group is settled, and what I've seen against Barnet and today, against two top teams at the level, gives me excitement for the future."
