Yeovil Town have signed winger Mason Obeng from Southern League Premier South champions Walton & Hersham on a two-year deal.

The 22-year-old registered a combined 22 goals and assists this season, winning his club's player of the year award and helping them to promotion to National League South.

He is well known to Yeovil boss Billy Rowley, who signed him from Aldershot Town when he was Walton & Hersham manager.

Obeng has previously been on loan at Hartley Wintney and graduated through Queen's Park Rangers' youth system.

Earlier this month, Walton & Hersham accused Rowley of repeatedly attempting to poach their players - including in person at an end-of-season party.

Rowley left the Swans in November, with them top of the seventh tier, before guiding Yeovil to a 16th-placed finish in the National League, two levels higher.

One of Walton & Hersham's accusations was that Yeovil had made a "formal offer" to Obeng after he rejected fresh terms with the Surrey club.

Walton & Hersham said they had submitted a formal complaint to the Football Association (FA) about Rowley's conduct.

The BBC has approached Yeovil Town and the FA for comment.
