Rotherham United have released 11 players following their relegation to League Two.

The Millers finished 23rd in League One, 11 points from safety after managing only 10 wins all season.

Cameron Dawson, Sean Raggett, Liam Kelly, Jordan Hugill, Duncan Watmore, Joshua Kayode, Ciaran McGuckin, Zak Jules, Reece James, Josh Benson and Ben Hatton will all depart the Aesseal New York Stadium this summer.

As well as the 11 players who have been released, five players on loan will return to their parent clubs.

But club captain Joe Rafferty has triggered an appearance-based option to extend his current deal.

The Millers remain in discussions with Jack Holmes, Joe Powell and Josh Ayres, but the club has not yet made a decision on whether to keep Dru Yearwood or Shaun McWilliams.

As things stand, there are 14 players under contract, but no decision has been taken on who will be in charge next season after Lee Clark's short-term spell ended on the final day of the season.
