Andy Thomson has been appointed head coach of Scottish Women Premier League champions Hearts, replacing Eva Olid.
Thomson, 55, leaves Rangers, where he had been assistant coach of the women's side since early 2025.
The former Scotland women's assistant coach fills the vacancy left by Spaniard Olid, who led Hearts to their first women's top-flight title success in her final match in charge.
As a player, Thomson played as a forward for Queen of the South, Partick Thistle, Falkirk, Stenhousemuir and four English clubs, including Queens Park Rangers.
He moved into coaching with the University of Strathclyde men's team and has worked with Caledonian Braves and University of Stirling.
He assisted Shelley Kerr during the latter's spell in charge of Scotland women and later worked as football development manager at Motherwell.
Hearts begin the defence of their SWPL title in mid-August.
