Bristol Rovers forward Ellis Harrison has penned a new deal with the club, keeping him at the Memorial Stadium until next summer.

The 32-year-old rejoined his boyhood side at the start of last season from MK Dons, and scored 14 goals in all competitions for the Pirates last term, including a hat-trick against Cheltenham.

"I'm delighted to have signed a new contract at Rovers," Harrison told the club website, external.

"The fans have been brilliant with me ever since I returned to the club back last summer, so it was a no-brainer to extend my stay here."

"My highlight of the campaign was to get to watch Locks [Tom Lockyer] return to football after everything he has been through.

"We're really close, so getting to share a dressing room with him again and the pitch was unforgettable, especially after sharing so many memories during my first spell at the club.

"The team has shown real togetherness throughout the season, and it has really shown in the last couple of months, winning eight games on the bounce."

Harrison started his career at the Memorial Stadium, coming through the Rovers academy and scoring 49 goals in 204 appearances between 2011 and 2018, helping secure back-to-back promotions from the National League to League One.
