Auchinleck Talbot came from behind to beat Ayrshire rivals Largs Thistle and extend their record of lifting the Scottish Junior Cup to a 15th time.

Two goals in the final six minutes of normal time from Cammy Keay and Cammy Crooks secured victory for the West of Scotland League Premier Division champions at Broadwood Stadium.

Thistle had led since the sixth minute, when Lewis Davidson dived to head in a Blair Divine cross to the back post.

But Keay fired the equaliser after a Tarek Abed shot came off a post then turned provider as Crooks volleyed in his fellow substitute's cross into the six-yard box as the match entered six minutes of stoppage time.

It was a repeat of the 2019 final, when Talbot beat Largs, who have won the trophy once, in 1994, won 2-0.

It was the first time either side had featured in the final since then and it was Talbot manager Sloan who notched his own ninth Junior Cup victory.

Both sides will be competing in the new Lowland League West next season, with Largs having finished fifth in the table to also qualify for the new fifth tier of Scottish football.
