Harrogate Town have signed Chesterfield midfielder Bailey Hobson on a free transfer.
The Spireites had confirmed earlier on Friday that they would not be offering the 23-year-old a new deal.
Hobson, who scored once in 21 league games for Chesterfield, spent time on loan at National League club Brackley Town this season.
He is Harrogate's first signing since they were relegated out of the English Football league earlier this month.
The Sulphurites have not disclosed the length of deal he has signed.
"He'll run all day, has great energy, is a really fit lad and can cover a few positions, we think he's a really good fit for us in terms of his style," head of player recruitment Lloyd Kerry told the club website., external
