Midfielder Brett McGavin has signed a two-year contract extension to stay with Yeovil Town until 2028.

The 26-year-old has made 83 appearances for the Glovers, including 37 in the league this season, since joining from Torquay United in 2024.

Goalkeeper Matt Gould, meanwhile, has signed a new 12-month player-coach deal with the club.

It comes as the club announced that 10 players will be released following the expiry of their contracts.

Striker Josh Sims is among those leaving along with Alex Whittle, Finn Cousin-Dawson, Kyle Ferguson, Jacob Maddox, Jonathon Page, Charlie Cooper, Aaron Jarvis, Harvey Greenslade and Tahvon Campbell.
