Oxford chief executive Williams steps down

Oxford United chief executive Tim Williams has stepped down from his role at the club.

Williams was appointed by in September 2022 and the club achieved promotion to the Championship via the play-offs in May 2024.

After they stayed up in their first season back in the second tier for 25 years, Oxford were relegated back to League One in April.

"After four years leading the club, I felt this was simply the right time for me personally to step back and hand over the reins to a new leader," Williams told Oxford's website., external
