Meghoma, 20, moves to Fratton Park having made 44 appearances for Rangers last season during a loan spell in Glasgow.
He joined Brentford in 2024 but has featured just four times for the Bees and has also enjoyed a loan stint with Preston.
At Pompey he will link-up with Bees team-mate Benjamin Arthur, who also joined Pompey on loan last month.
"We're delighted to welcome Jayden to the club and I'm looking forward to working with him for the rest of the season," Pompey boss John Mousinho told the club's website., external
"It is no secret that left-back is an area where we needed to strengthen and it's great to bring in someone in who has both exciting potential, but also plenty of experience of men's football."
