Bethany England's four goals helped Liverpool Ladies hit eight past Women's Super League One's bottom club Yeovil Town Ladies to go third in the table.

Annie Heatherson's unfortunate own goal gave the Reds an early lead and England slotted in twice before half-time.

Clinical England tucked in two more after the break, either side of efforts from Caroline Weir and Jess Clarke.

Laura Coombs added the eighth on a poor night for Yeovil, who have lost all six of their league games so far this term.

Liverpool's win was their fourth of the WSL 1 campaign and lifted them above Arsenal - who meet second-placed Chelsea on Sunday.

Liverpool forward Bethany England:

"That's the first time I've scored four goals in WSL 1 so I'm very pleased. We were ruthless and the scoreline reflected that.

"They started strongly but it was just a case of being patient and sticking to our game plan.

"We knew we could break them down at some point and obviously the own goal gave us that luck and then it wrote itself."
