  1. 'This is transition phase'published at 20:51 BST

India captain Shreyas Iyer: "Again, it was disappointing - 158 wasn't a perfect total on the board and we saw how quickly they chased it down.

"When we came out to bowl, I just asked the bowlers to repeat the lengths as much as possible. Top of middle and leg stump it was very hard to hit from but we were a little off in our execution."

On his unbeaten 80: "I am definitely happy with my performance but if it is not in a winning cause it just goes to the side. Unfortunately it was not that day."

On the final game: "This is a transition phase. We will be making a lost of mistakes - we have a lot of youngsters playing in these conditions for the first time so mistakes will make them realise how important it is to adapt and have awareness in overseas conditions.

"It is important you learn quickly from your mistakes so the team benefits from it."

  2. 'Good fun tonight'published at 20:50 BST

England captain and player of the match Harry Brook: "That was good fun tonight. It's always good to beat India. They're a strong side, have been for a long time. To beat them 3-0 with one game to go, we're very happy.

"Two things stand out. The way we've adapted to the surface and used different skills to combat the surface, and the communication from the coaches to the players and players back to the coaches.

"Jofra and Tonguey are getting on like a house on fire. Jos with the spinners, stood up to the stumps - he's a very valuable player. Those little conversations make a massive difference."

On whether England will rest players in Southampton or target the number one ranking: "It will be pretty cool to be number one if I'm honest. We'll keep doing the things we've been doing, stick to our guns and hopefully we'll be 4-0."

On his batting: "It felt good. Again, it's the conversations with the coaches, trying to figure out where best to hit the ball on the ground. Thankfully I can access all around the ground and I got a few out of the middle.

"We've got so much depth in the line-up. We brought in Rehan who was number eight and can hit a long ball, so we backed our batting to win the game."

  3. 'India have no plan - I don't understand the direction'published at 20:47 BST

If you look not just at this game, but the previous three games as well, it looks like India don't have a plan with how to approach their innings.

I don't mind losing, especially against a good side like England, but their batting unit doesn't seem to have a plan.

If you need a partnership in the middle, who is the right person to do it? Tilak Verma no doubt for me so you hold Shivam Dube back.

I don't understand the direction. I haven't seen any in the past four games.

This series has changed the landscape of England cricket, Harry Brook and Brendon McCullum.

What we have seen in the past three games is Brook captaining a side with aplomb. I know it is only T20 cricket but we are no longer talking about what a shambles English cricket is.

The debate has petered out - they are playing stunning cricket in this format. This is not irrelevant, even if you think it should be.

  5. 'Brook is showing he can lead'published at 20:39 BST

The only question around Harry Brook is whether he could lead in Test cricket.

He has shown in this series that he can lead and players confide in him. The players are happy.

After being bowled out for 76 at Trent Bridge, India avoided the same fate in Bristol but this was another disappointing batting performance.

Captain Shreyas Iyer was the sole bright spark, hitting an unbeaten 80 off 49 balls. Shivam Dube was the only other player to pass 20, hitting a pedestrian 22 (23).

Jofra Archer (2-20) and Josh Tongue (2-36) shared four wickets, with the former also demonstrating his football skills to finish the innings with a run-out.

In reply, England lost Jos Buttler in the third over before Harry Brook and Phil Salt let rip.

Captain Brook smacked 79 runs off 35 balls, including eight fours and four sixes, while Salt finished unbeaten on 59 off 42 as England crusied home in the sunshine.

This is England's first bilateral T20I series win over India.

It's also the first time India have lost five completed T20Is in a row, with defeats in Manchester, Nottingham and Bristol coming hot on the heels of a shock 2-0 defeat to Ireland.

England are a very confident side at the moment.

Harry Brook and Phil Salt were very good but the first seven or eight overs with the ball set the foundation again. Jofra Archer was brilliant and helped restrict India.

Despite England dominating with the bat tonight, they have ridden their luck, playing 25% false shots - higher than India’s false shot percentage with the bat (19%).

England may play a different team in Southampton in the final game. They may rest their Test bowlers - Jofra Archer and Josh Tongue - and that may give India some respite.

  17. Eng 140-1published at 12 overs

Need 19 runs from 48 balls

A little bit of chaos in the middle for England. Shreyas Iyer produces a sharp bit of fielding inside the ring, making a flying stop. Harry Brook, a couple of paces down from the non-striker's, had given up on making his ground but the throw at the stumps is wild.

Phil Salt indicates he couldn't hear Brook calling.

Brook swings hard at the final ball of the over and top-edges it over the wicketkeeper for four.
