    Ireland trail by 246 runs with eight wickets remaining after a day dominated by New Zealand.

    The Black Caps declared on 490-8 and then six wickets from Nathan Smith helped them dismiss the hosts for 179.

    New Zealand enforced the follow-on and Ireland closed on 65-2 and with a mountain to climb on Friday.
