Durham batter Bedingham extends contract

David Bedingham has scored 1,029 runs in the County Championship so far this season

Durham batter David Bedingham has extended his contract through to the end of next season.

The 32-year-old South Africa international joined the club in 2020 and has passed 5,500 first-class runs.

"I owe the club a lot, and I'm very thankful that they've signed me since 2020," he told the club website.

"The personal goals are quite cool, but I think that we have a squad now that hopefully can win Division Two, and going into next year, hopefully fight for a title."

Durham sit top of Division Two of the County Championship with three games of the season to play.
