Sri Lanka seamer Binura Fernando has joined Notts Outlaws for the remainder of their T20 Blast campaign.
The 30-year-old will replace fellow seamer Mohammad Ali, who has been called up for international duty with Pakistan.
Fernando will be eligible to play in both of the Outlaws' remaining North Group games against Leicestershire Foxes and Yorkshire and all potential knockout matches.
Notts currently lead North Group by two points from Yorkshire after a run of seven successive wins and need just one more point to clinch a place in the quarter-finals.
Left-armer Fernando, who is 6ft 6ins, has 29 white-ball caps and 26 wickets for Sri Lanka and has appeared at two World Cups.
"He has a proven record in white-ball cricket and real international pedigree, his skillset adds genuine variety to the team, and he will complement the rest of our bowling attack," Notts head coach Peter Moores told the club website., external
Ali is the second-highest wicket-taker in this season's competition, with 19 from 10 matches and an economy rate of 7.73.
Moores added: "It will be a shame to lose Mohammad Ali, who has done really well for us up until now, but we wish him all the best with Pakistan and we're excited to have Binura join in his place."
