After making history at this year's European Championships by achieving four-time medals in Birmingham, Great Britain's Amy Hunt is looking to carry her momentum into the Diamond League meeting in Lausanne competing in the 200m.

She found joy in the women's 100m, women's 200m, women's 4x100, relay and the mixed 4x100m relay sealing an iconic quadruple.

Jamaican sprinter Shericka Jackson will be competing against the Brit in the 200m.

World record holder Armand Duplantis will be found in action for the pole vault.

Great Britain's Zharnel Hughes, who won a silver medal in the 200m at the Alexander stadium, followed by gold in the men's and mixed relay team will be racing Letsile Tebogo for podium spot in the men's 200m.

The likes of newly crowned European champions Audrey Werro will be hoping to impress in front of a home crowd in the women's 800m, with Dutch Femke Broeders-Bol aiming to cause an upset.

Among the athletes, more Brits will be looking to make an impact. Elise Thorner will be competing in the 3000m steeplechase women, and Alastair Chalmers in the 400m hurdles men.

  5. How does the Diamond League work?published at 15:32 BST 20 August

The Diamond League - athletics' premier one-day meeting series - consists of 15 stops, this year culminating in a two-day final in Brussels in September.

Athletes compete for points across 32 Diamond League disciplines at the 14 regular series meetings in a bid to qualify for the finals.

The top six athletes in field events, top eight in track events from 100m up to 800m, and top 10 in distances from 1500m upwards, will qualify for the finals.

The finals, which precede the inaugural season-ending World Athletics Ultimate Championship, are a winner-takes-all showdown to be crowned Diamond League champion in each event.
